Dr. Ken Kreuzer, composer and architect of the Kreuzer Collective, has been writing music for nearly three decades.  While attending Ithaca College in the early 90’s, Kreuzer began studying orchestral scores with conductor Grant Cooper.  Composition came as a natural evolution of this and other studies.  He continued this pursuit of composing and studying music, receiving a Master of music in music composition from East Carolina University, studying with Mark Taggart, and a DMA in music composition from the University of Hartford, studying with Dr. Robert Carl.

Kreuzer has taught instrumental music in NC, VA, CO and NY.  He has taught at the VA School for the Arts in Virginia Beach, at East Carolina University and the University of Hartford.  He presently teaches at the Honeoye Falls-Lima High School, where he directs the wind and jazz ensemble, conducts the pit orchestra and teaches amazing students.  Kreuzer has taught a variety of masterclasses on music composition, theory and pedagogy, most notably at the NYSSMA conference.  He regularly mentor’s student teachers from the Eastman School of Music.
